Star-Viper (version 2) was released in an exclusive wave of Echo vehicles with the Sand Serpent for the Rise of Cobra line in 2011. The Sand Serpent and Star-Viper were intended for normal retail release in early 2010, but for reasons not officially known, ended up appearing at discount retailer Ross in January 2011.
